Publications
1.    Impact Evaluation of Mission Buniyaad, 2019:  District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), Dilshad Garden was commissioned to undertake the research study  to review the effectiveness of the foundational skills program of Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi and presents a case study. Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia launched the report on 7th December 2019 at India Habitat Centre.

2.    Mapping Of Needs And Priorities: A Study Of Child Rape Victims In Delhi, July 2019: The study conducted in collaboration with Human Development Society documents personal, familial and societal needs of minor victims of rape, the challenges they face in fulfilling their needs and the priorities of life that have a bearing on their rehabilitation and social reintegration. Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia launched the report on 2nd July 2019.

3.    Inclusive Classrooms, 2019: The research study carried out in collaboration with Indus Action, reviews the status of the implementation of the Right to Education  Section 12(1) (c) that mandates 25% reservation in entry level class of the private schools (except minority) for children belonging to economically weaker section (EWS) and socially disadvantaged groups (DG) and makes recommendations for further improvement. The study was launched in July 2019.

4.    Compendium on Missing Children, 2019:  A collection of analysis of Delhi’s missing children data and documents like various instructions/orders/ guidelines/Standard Operating Procedures of various agencies including Delhi Police. The compendium was launched by Chief Secretary at Delhi Secretariat on 17th July 2019.

5.    Time Allocation And Work Perceptions Of Teachers, 2019: The research study carried out by Accountability Initiative, Centre for Policy Research tracks nearly 200 teachers from 39 government and municipal schools in Delhi to unpack their work and role related perceptions and to map the time spent by them on various school activities. The report was launched in January 2019.

6.    The Situation Of Aftercare Youth In Delhi, October, 2018: The research study carried out in collaboration Udayan Care highlights the nature of challenges faced by young adults (or 'care leavers') who age out of child care institutions (CCIs) in Delhi, existing interventions and possible recommendations. Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Manish Sisodia launched the report on 24th December 2018 at Delhi Secretariat.

7.    Mapping of Childcare institutions in Delhi, June, 2018: The report contains detailed information about the various Childcare institutes working in different parts of the city which are run by various private and government institutes categorized according to their location, gender of residents, and the purposes they serve.


8.    Right of Children to Play in Parks, October 2016: The report collates the judgment of the Hon'ble Delhi High Court and the approved policy for children's parks along with some of the efforts made by DCPCR to monitor and ensure the aforementioned right to children.

9.    Courts and Child Rights, December 2016: The report collates some significant judgments of the hon'ble Supreme Court of India and hon'ble Delhi High Court where certain issues relating to the rights of a child have been settled and where such directions have resulted in policy decisions being taken by the government or guidelines and standard operating procedures upholding child rights laid down.


10.    Begging for a Childhood Analysis of Child Beggars in Delhi, August 2015: The study was commissioned under the guidance of Prof. Sneh Lata Tandon, former Professor and Head, Department of Social Work & Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Delhi and included detailed interviews with children who begged in various districts, review of works undertaken nationally and internationally on the subject and documentation of important plans and policies for the same.

11.    Status of Implementation of POCSO Act, 21012 in Delhi, July 2015: The document puts together all the efforts made by DCPCR as part of the mandate to monitor the implementation of the provisions of the POCSO Act . The report includes the number of meetings, training programmes, orientation workshops organised to spread awareness about the POCSO Act .

12.    Effectiveness of Special Training Centres (STCs) in Delhi, July 2018: The report aimed at assessing the effectiveness of 32 Special Training Centers and bringing out the role of such centers in retaining Out of School Children in regular schools.

13.    Efficacy of Implementation of RTE Act, July 2015: The study assesses the status of implementation of various provisions of the RTE Act, 2009 in 10 government schools of each district of Delhi and presents the combined findings of the 120 schools monitoring exercise.

14.    Status of Implementation of Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act and Rules in Delhi, June 2015: The study  carried out in collaboration with ‘Save the Children’ looked into compliance of norms related to physical infrastructure and safety in all schools surveyed along with  compliance with RTE norms, grievance redressal mechanisms  and other entitlements.

15.    Why Children Commit Offences, June 2015: The study carried out in collaboration with ‘Butterflies’ looks at the socio-economic profile of the children in conflict with law, the nature of offences which these children were accused of having committed and has analysed the factors that predispose children to deviant behaviour.

16.    Substance Abuse by Children in Delhi, June 2015: The report provides a situational analysis of the existing rehabilitation mechanisms to address the issue of substance abuse by children in Delhi and suggest rehabilitation strategies for them in various social settings.

 

17.    Compendium on Missing children, 2015:  The document was prepared in collaboration with Action Aid India as an effort to collate the various instructions/orders/guidelines/Standard Operating Procedures by various authorities and courts on the issue of Missing Children.

18.    Subjective Well-being of Children Living in Institutions in Delhi, December 2014: The research study is a detailed exercise that aims to analyse, measure and understand child wellbeing and provide a framework for the development of different child centric policies, programmes and guidelines.

19.    Mental Health Care of Children-A Special Report, December 2014: The report analyzes the mental health problems of children in different settings besides the role of the family, professional services and other care-givers in the prevention and treatment of these problems.

20.    Status of an Adolescent Girl in the Urban Slums of Delhi, November 2014: The study was carried out in support by consultants of ‘I Thought’ and  aims to understand the status of an adolescent girl in respect of the four parameters: health, nutrition, education and protection  by evaluating the situation in 55 urban slums spread across 11 districts of the NCT of Delhi.

21.    HIV Infected and Affected Children in Delhi-A Status Report November 2014:  The research study tries to understand the status of HIV infected and affected children in Delhi, the global and national context and various interventions which can be accessed by these children in difficult circumstances.

22.    Implementation of the Action Plan for Abolition of Child Labour in Delhi, October 2014: The research study assess and analyses the available data on  rescue, recovery and post rescue procedures besides other issues of Inter-State coordination and provides recommendation for more effective implementation of the action plan.

23.    Children’s Committees in Juvenile and Child Care Institutions of Delhi October 2014 : The report assesses the status of Children’s committees in various homes, run by both government and private bodies in Delhi.

24.    Guidelines on Media Reporting on Children, June 2014: The Compendium consists of several relevant regulations and advisories related to media reporting of issues on children along with the aforementioned guidelines as approved by Hon’ble High court in December 2012.

25.    Guidelines For Prevention Of Child Abuse, May 2014: The document details comprehensive guidelines for the prevention of child abuse which would address the occurrence of such instances in all institutions which deal with the care and protection of children in any manner.

26.    DCPCR Child Labour Interface, February 2014: The report collates the deliberations and recommendations of the interface meeting with Chairpersons of the NCPCR and SCPCRs and useful papers, presentations, court orders, Standard Operating Procedure/Protocols on the issue of prevention, rescue, repatriation, rehabilitation of trafficked and migrant child labour.
